Jody Muelaner is the technical manager of LIMA at the University of Bath where he works closely with clients in the aerospace sector and carries out research focused on the link between metrology and design for manufacture. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng.).

After holding a number of short term jobs and gaining a City and Guild's in Computer Aided Design in 1997 Jody then studied for a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Exeter in 2000. Subsequent work as a machine designer included the design of generators, saw mills, domestic heating, medical devices, waste processing machinery and lifting gear. After founding Streamline Outsource Ltd Jody then went on to study for a PhD at the University of Bath.

He presently leads the technical direction for the LIMA BTC a £2.2M project to improve the metrology of SME's within the South West of England. This project is part funded by the ERDF, a funding proposal which Jody co-wrote.
