Design for Manufacture
- Measurement Assisted Determinate Assembly (MADA) is dependent on a structures being designed to facilitate this method of production, Jody has developed design rules for MADA.
Integrated variation management
Properly managing the variation of components and assemblies will lead to high quality products without costly reworking during assembly. Computer aided design, engineering and production planning tools are used extensively but there is not currently an integrated approach to variation management using these tools.
